You know how they say not to brush your teeth right away after eating acidic foods?

It's recommended to wait 30 min-an hour to brush after eating something acidic. If I can't wait around to brush, can I neutralize all the acids with a baking soda rinse and then brush right away? You know how they say not to brush your teeth right away after eating acidic foods?
The reason they recommend not brushing right away is that the acid works on the enamel making it softer therefore making it more easily damaged. I suggest rinsing with plain water or chewing gum that will lessen the sugars in your mouth until you can brush your teeth. You know how they say not to brush your teeth right away after eating acidic foods?
You sure can. Baking soda is an excellent base to neutralize any acid residing on your teeth. Just mix it with a glass of water, take a few mouthfuls, and you're good to go.
You can rinse after you brush your teeth. :S You should wait the 30 minutes, so you don't have any problems.
