Is there an alternative to a paint brush?

Such as something homemade ? with household items ?





Or maybe something like q-tips; Except q-tips don't work well because they absorb the paint to fast. Something big though ?Is there an alternative to a paint brush?
Sponges work really well, and balled up paper towels can work too, if you're going for a certain look.Is there an alternative to a paint brush?
You can use a paint roller and there are also flat paint spreader (sorry don't know what the real name is) for when you do trim work.





As far as something in the house, yeah sponges are probably the best bet. Make sure you wet it first though or else it will soak up all the paint and waste it.
Roll up a piece of an old terry cloth towel.
