Does one have to clean the mascara brush after every use?

Do you clean the brush after you use it or just once a week or something?

And the best way to clean it?Does one have to clean the mascara brush after every use?
No, but replace the mascara after 3 months.

This is because bacteria can grow on the brush, and you don't want any infections in you eye now do you? Also, never share your eye makeup with ANYONE.

I hope this helps!

PS: replace your eyeliner after 3 months too.

PPS: You do not have to clean it, but if you feel the need just soak it in warm water and soap. and rinse it afterwards.Does one have to clean the mascara brush after every use?
No you do not have to, but it is recommend to change out your mascara ever 6 months because of bacteria that will grow. If you change your mascara at least twice a year (if not more) you should be fine. Sometimes when mine gets kind of clumpy and gross on the brush I just rinse it with hot water but as long as you keep the brush in the mascara you should not have to clean it or worry about it drying out. But if you want to wash it after each use feel free, it definitively won't hurt!
If you have an eye infection (pink eye/etc...) and you use mascara (although you're not supposed to), then definitely clean the brush.

Normally, though, it doesn't matter what's on the brush since it all comes out of the formula.

But if you're using a brush and switch mascaras but keep the old brush, then clean it before your first use.
unless you are sharing your makeup, there is no need to clean your brush. the only germs that might be on there are from your own eyes...so..yea.

here are the only times that you need to clean your brush:

-if you recnetly had Pink eye, and used mascara

-Sharing makeup (which you should never do in the 1st place)

-dropped on the ground

-if the container is left out in the heat for an extended amount of time. (this can cause the germs to grow)

hope this helped you with your delima!
No.

No matter what the facetious and finicky people out there say, no, you don't have to clean the brush after EVERY use. Regulary is enough. Lessay, after every 7-10 uses.

Cleaning it after every use will just wear the brush out.

^_^ Hope I helped!

no, every week or so. I just wash the brush under water and run my fingers up and down it. Especially if it a expensive one like max factor. If you use a cheap one, then dip it in. It works great as the expensive stuff because its the brush that does the work. Becarefu when you wash it, incase you ruin the brizzles. :D
Ok, I am 51, which is pretty old, lol, and have worn mascara since I was about 14, and I have never cleaned the brush, and have never suffered any ill-effects. You are just making work for yourself, don't. :0)
you have to be very careful with bacteria it will form on the brush then go to your eye. if this happens you may get sties on your eyes. they are very painful. you never share mascara with anyone. do not use it more than 3 months before getting new one
I'm quite sure that you do not have to clean your mascara brush. But it is suggested that you get new mascara every three months or so.

I found that information in the link below towards the middle of the page.
No, of course not, you'll end up drying out your mascara this way and wasting it. Now, make sure you don't lend it to anyone for even one use, because that way you can get some kind of infection.
You should clean it once every two weeks, the reason being because bacteria builds up on the brush best way is to soak it in warm water and eye makeup remover.Nothing else, and yes replace after 3 months.
i only clean mine when it starts to clump i just run i under water till the mascara is off the brush then it is a good as new

idk i've only had to was mine 1nce so idk

hardley ever
You don't have to clean it. If you really want to just use warm water and soap. Use your fingers to clean the bristles. It is recommended that you buy new mascara every 3 months.
No because it's going to be black again anyways. Unless if you dropped it in some dirty place then yes, you'll have to clean it.
no you don't. my mother doesn't. i don't although i don't use mascara. but i don't believe you have to.
i have never cleaned mine.it works just as well as if u don't.i have seen pl clean it tho and it ruined some of the bristles.
No not after every use just every so often to soften and clean up the bristles as the mascara tends to clump them together
I only wipe any clumps off I don't clean the brush. I just use the one until it runs out or I want a new kind then I throw it away.
I don't clean mine....And I don't think you need to. It's going to go back

in the same place as it was before.

O___O
I don't clean it but you are suposed to replace it after three months or if it begans to smell bad.
you can ,but i do not it still works good
You don't clean it. You just put it back in the mascara tube.
you dont clean it or the water would ruin your mascara ans its brush

who told you to clean it haha
No, but make sure you don't share your mascara with other people. That is when infections start
i dont clean it... you dont need to... u need to get another mascara brush if someone wants to use it tho.
I don't clean mine. I don't see the need to...
I have never cleaned my mascara brush. If you feel the need to than go ahead.
You don't clean it. U throw the product away after 3 months or when it starts to smell funny.
you do not have to clean it, i do not xx Hannah xx
you never have to clean it. Just buy a new mascara every month or two.
I don't clean mine

and I never did

I don't think you

have to clean it

  • Can i use a concealer brush as a blending brush?

    Title says it all.

also if i cant, what are some good blending brushes that u recommend?

nd it has to be under $15.Can i use a concealer brush as a blending brush?
go to sephor's its an awesome makeup store and they have blending brushes of all sizes from $8.00-30.00 the should have exactly what ur looking for.Can i use a concealer brush as a blending brush?
No a concealer brush should be stiff, but you want a fluffy brush to blend colors. I got one like this from Ulta http://www.overstockdrugstore.com/produc鈥?/a> and it works well, plus it's double ended and the other end works well for the crease. I think I paid like $5.

Where can i get a good stippling brush?

You can visit there website. I provided a link for you. %26lt;3Where can i get a good stippling brush?
Oh my word, you don't have a Target? You poor thing! I'm sure you have a suitable alternative, though. Do you have a Sephora store or an Ulta? They can recommend good ones.

Mine is from www.maccosmetics.com. It's fantastic! It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it's lasted forever and it is the only thing that covers my pale, I'm-a-redhead-and-I-have-red-cheeks skin. It's #109. I was reluctant, but when I went to the store to have my make up done, the girl recommended it as a stippling brush and it works small miracles every morning.

I had cleaned Terpantine off a Paint brush in restroom sink and days later it still smells, How do you...?

Get the smell of Terpantine Out of the sink Pipes? Any links, helps, and tips will be appreciated. Thank you.I had cleaned Terpantine off a Paint brush in restroom sink and days later it still smells, How do you...?
I would wash the sink with a degreasing detergent such as Dawn dishwashing liquid.Turpentine is very aromatic and oily. The smell will linger for a while.

In the future, clean your brushes with pure Mineral Spirits...it's cheaper and has much less odor.I had cleaned Terpantine off a Paint brush in restroom sink and days later it still smells, How do you...?
Turpentine is a petrochemical paint thinner. It is a distilate from crude oil. I would first wash down the sink with a strong solvent like acetone, then follow that with a good detergent, like Simple Green.

    That ought to do it.
Try white vinegar...it is a will usually counteract with acids and odors to eliminate them. Try not to let turpentine touch your skin...it is caustic.
You could get a wrench and take off the trap and clean the gunk out of it. Probably the terps is stuck in the trap and you can't flush it out. So wipe it out with a rag and that should get the smell out. If not you can flush it with odorless paint thinner(another form of terpentine, but does not smell). Varsol is paint thinner but smells. They will each thin out the same paint (or wash it off) Terps is used more for artistic painting where you want the oil paints to dry slower and shinier.(not that you will see the difference)

My cat keeps getting ear mites, can they be coming from her brush that I groom her with? Can ear mites live on a cats brush?
yes, and contrary to what some other people may have told you, you should NOT get over-the-counter ear mite treatment. You need to have the cat treated at your vet. Also, a good way to PREVENT the mites is to keep your cat on Revolution, which you can get from your vet.Can ear mites live on a cats brush?

  • How many times a day do you brush ur teeth?

I do it maybe twice a day?

I'm pretty LAZY!How many times a day do you brush ur teeth?
twice dailyHow many times a day do you brush ur teeth?
At least twice, but more depending on what I eat and if my teeth feel slimmy. When I had braces I brushed twice in the morning and once at night and after meals.
    2-3
    Twice a day
    2 times unless I have a hot date....maybe 3
Ideally you should do as many times as possible.

But if you do that you would damage (abrade) your teeth and gums.

So a good compromise is twice daily.

    Preferrably after meals.
    Why? Are you my mommy?
I do it twice too. and I chew gum after lunch
    usually 2
    2 is good nuff.
    2 times usally sometimes 1
twice a day my norm, but if i feel i need to freshen up there is nothing like that clean minty feeling after brushing
    Twice a day.
i used to be lazy too, but now i'm wearing braces and i brush them almost after every single bite. when i'm not in the mood for brushing i just skip some inbetween snacks or meals.
normally twice after I get up in the morning and before I go to bed after having dinner
i brush mine about 7 times a day
I brush my teeth after I eat, so if I eat 4 times a day, then I brush my teeth 4 times a day or 5 because I need to brush my teeth in the morning even if I have not taken anything for breakfast.
twice an hour ! thats 36 times in my 18 waking hours ! am a brushaholic !

What is the proper way to clean your tooth brush after each use?

A good rinse in hot water should take care of daily cleaning. During cold %26amp; flu season or when someone in the house is sick, I run all the toothbrushes through the dishwasher. And the sick persons toothbrush is isolated away from the others also.

I know some people who soak their toothbrushes in mouthwash or peroxide also. But the dishwasher does a good job with all that hot water and it's easy! What is the proper way to clean your tooth brush after each use?
The proper way is to use an infrared light to store the brush in between uses. That's what dentists use to sterilize instruments and now you can buy them at target or any drug store. Otherwise, dip them in some bleach diluted with water and leave them 20 minutes, then rinse. What is the proper way to clean your tooth brush after each use?
Pour peroxide on it, rinse it in hot water, dry it and store it in a dry place. If you store it out on the sink sprits from the toilet can get on the brush making you the definition of potty mouth.
Rinse well. If you are concerned about getting ill, pour a bit of alcohol over your toothbrush and let it dry for the rest of the day: That should kill most germs.

Anyone know where I can buy a baby shampoo brush?

How do I brush my dog's hair if he thinks it's a toy?

All he wants to do is bite the brush! He's a Bichon Frise/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix so his hair is fluffy like a lambs and needs to be brushed regularlyHow do I brush my dog's hair if he thinks it's a toy?
This worked for my dog that hates to have her nails clipped. Find out what food she loves most. Get her attention with the food, give her a bite. Brush her with the brush once while she eats the food. Hold up another piece of food and keep her attention with that as opposed to the brush. Give her the food and stroke her with the brush. Gradually start doing more strokes with the brush than bites of food. After awhile she might only require a bite of two of her favorite food while tolerating her brushing. In a month or so she should tolerate the brushing with out food. How do I brush my dog's hair if he thinks it's a toy?
dont let him bite the brush give him a ball to play with or something else.
All he needs is a little training!!! Pick a time when he's a little tired - after a walk or a lot of playing. Lay him down on his side and brush (make sure you get down to the skin or he'll get all matted). Talk to him quietly, if he tries to play, just tell him no and continue brushing. Give him a little time out and do the other side. If he's very young, he'll only take a few minutes to brush, so it's best to get him used to it right now.
Give him a pigear to chew on whilst you brush it
Hold him down and tell him 'no'. if He sits still give him a treat, after this goes on for awhile, he should catch on.
They make a glove that has rubber brush bristles, wear that and he'll think you're just petting him
My dog had the same problem what you can do is get Bitter Apple at your pet store..it taste very sour and you can spray it on almost anything and it wont harm your dog at all!
My dog also did this to me, I asked the vet he said to start by doing it once a week letting the dog know that its not a game. then start increasing the brushes slowly until it is an everyday thing. Another thing is a ';toothbrush'; that is like a toy dogs love to chew on it and you can buy dog toothpaste so when they chew they are also getting their mouth cleaned. You can find those at any pet store

Unbolt toilet, lift it up after disconnecting water line, remove brush from trap and then buy new wax ring and reinstall toilet.

    Fairly simple.

Good luck.A big plastic brush has fallen in toilet commode. It has stuck at the end of commode.Water is not flushing out?
    GET IT OUT!
Reach under the back of the toilet and find the shut off valve. Turn it until the water stops. Then call your parents or a plumber.
Most times articles stuck in the toilet will come out easiest the way they went in. Stick your hand in there, use rubber gloves if you have to, and pull it out. It may be wedged, but it went in and it will come out !

How do you brush your teeth?

Yeah, I know, weird question. It's just that I've been brushing my teeth Boy Scout Style (with a cup of water) and everytime I see it on tv, people just let the water run and spit out a mouthful of toothpaste foam. I don't get it. I mean, do you just bend your head over and suck up the water from the tap or what? I know it's a ridiculous question but it's been bothering me for a ridiculous amount of time and I'd like to just finally know to get it to stop bugging me.How do you brush your teeth?

I just put my t-brush under running water in intervals while brushing. I cannot keep it all contained.

I asked a similar question a while back... don't worry, it does not seem weird to me.

I'm going to type this out of my dentistry book:

    (1) Bass Technique

    A. Most commonly used

    B. Removes plaque from shallow Sulcus

    C. method

    1. point bristles 45 degrees towards the gum line

    2. press lightly, brush back and forth using short strokes (count to ten for each position)

    3. vibrate the brush back and forth with very short strokes.

    4. Continue throughout the mouth until all areas are bushed (overlap at least one tooth for each placement)

    5. Anterior lingual- brush inserted vertically, brush bristles of heel or toe are placed at the sulcus and vibrated slightly

    6. Occlusal surfaces- short back and forth strokes over occlusal surface
This is gonna sound weird, but I actually used to put my mouth on the sink, were the water comes out from. but now I make a cup with my hands, and well, you know the rest.
make a cup with my hands and get the water from that
quite often, just the type of toothpaste used stimulates the saliva glands and the spit mixed with the toothpaste cause the foam along with the constant putting your toothbrush under the running water and continuing brushing without spitting.

Save the spit until the very end!
i used the cup where there isn't enougth water,\\.
Running water. Use toothbrush up from gum.
Just spit it out and gargle with mouthwash.
I take out my toothbrush, put about an inch of toothpaste, brush my teeth for a minute, fill my hand up with water, put it in my mouth, gargle, and spit it out! That's all there is to it. It's a habitual thing. Nothing to be worried about. Ask you dentist. He'll help you. That's what they do. They love those knd of questions. Am I still typing?! Oops...
I spit out the toothpaste and then rinse my mouth out with a handful of water.

Do many Americans take teeth bleach besides normal daily brush?

    Hi, all

I found many Americans ( asians, white, black, etc) got perfect teeth.

How do they keep teeth white ? Do many of them have dental bleach besides normal teeth brush ? Do they have a culture pressure that needs a perfect teeth.

Because as far as I know, even though I brush teeth everyday, normally it would yellow, without cavity.Do many Americans take teeth bleach besides normal daily brush?
In America, to have mangled, yellowing teeth means you are of the lower class...white trash. Some British talk about Americans bleaching their teeth. I do not know anyone that bleaches their teeth. We do have tooth paste and mouth wash that has teeth whitener in it. Of course, you can have your teeth whitened professionally, but you will pay a pretty penny for it. I think we have fluoride in our water...maybe that is what it is I do not know.Do many Americans take teeth bleach besides normal daily brush?
I don't know anyone that bleeches their teeth, that's more of the hollywood type of crowd. You can buy toothpaste that has bleech in it if you want, which some people use. I use it sometimes, but it really doesn't make much of a difference in color from what I've noticed.

I would say most people I know just brush twice a day and floss. We have flouride in our water too, which I'm sure is the biggest reason for sparkly teeth here.
Some bleach but no most people just have a professional cleanings 2 times a year and brush and floss.
There is more fluoride in the water in America. Whiter teeth are inevitable if that's present.

How do I clean my kabuki brush?

I have had a kabuki brush for about 5-6 months and it needs to be cleaned. I don't use the brush a lot but I want to clean it but I don't know how to clean it.

The brush only cost me 5-6 dollars, so am I better off just buying a new brush?

Thank You!How do I clean my kabuki brush?
    shampoo.

Typically, most experts suggest cleaning them weekly, but if you tend to forget or just think that's not accurate, then try to wash them at least every 2 weeks. It will only take a few minutes to wash them all, and if you do it at bedtime they will be nice and dry for use in the morning.

Begin by gathering your makeup brushes, two clean hand towels, and whatever shampoo you have on hand. Bring everything to your sink and lay it out. Keep in mind that you will be washing your brushes, but even if they have natural bristles you will not be using conditioner, only shampoo.

Turn your faucet on to cold, and take one brush and run it under the water. Make sure you clean the bigger brushes one at a time, but you can combine some of the smaller brushes together when washing. Wet the brush thoroughly before applying the shampoo.

Add 1-2 drops of the shampoo directly to the brush. Depending on the size of the brush, you will want to alter the amount of shampoo you need. For larger, face brushes use at least 2 drops, and for smaller, eye and lip brushes use one drop.

Once the shampoo is added, gently massage it into the brush. Once incorporated, flip the brush downward and rub the brush in the palm of your hand, using a circular motion. Wash each brush in this way for 1-2 minutes, rinsing slightly during the process until the suds and brush look clean.

It is very important that you rinse the brush well. If you don't rinse them well you can leave behind soap residue and traces of makeup, not to mention bacteria. Begin by rinsing the brush under cold water, while gently massaging the bristles with your fingertips. Do not pull on the hairs and make sure you rinse from base to tip. Continue rinsing with cold water until all traces of soap are gone and the water runs clean.

Once the brush is accurately rinsed, begin removing the excess water by squeezing the brush from base to tip. After you remove the excess water, take one of the hand towels, fold it in half, and gently tap the brush onto the towel.

If the brush is still very saturated, then fold the towel over the brush and gently squeeze the water from the brush. Remember to move in the same motion as before, starting at the base and going to the tip. If you need to do this, remember to be gentle so you don't pull the hairs out of the base of the brush.

After you have successfully removed the excess water from the brushes you will need to lay them out, overnight, to air dry. To do this, simply take the second hand towel, fold it in half, and line the brushes on top of it. You may then either place the towel on your countertop or place it on your window sill, with the window slightly cracked, to allow a warm breeze to dry them quicker. Of course, if it is winter time and cold outside, do not open the window or you will get frozen brushes.

Allow the brushes to sit overnight to dry. Once morning comes, your brushes should be dry and ready for use. Check each brush before you use it, and make sure they are completely dry. If the brushes are still damp, do not use them and whatever you do, do not use a hair dryer to dry them. How do I clean my kabuki brush?
Try the brush cleaner @ Sephora.com They have a variety of very gentle cleansers designed for their brushes %26amp; work well on others. • Can I use the mac 129SH brush to apply my Mineralize skinfinish natural ?

The lady at the store told me that I should use a brush that doesn't absorb the foundation or something..i forget -_- does anyone know if i can use this brush to apply the mineral finish ?(it's Matte btw)Can I use the mac 129SH brush to apply my Mineralize skinfinish natural ?
I have the Skinfinish, and while the 129H would be a great brush, I prefer the 182 buffer brush for my Skinfinish (see link below). It's more expensive, but I find I really REALLY like the result of it more. The 129H is more ideal for a blush.

How to get rid of bad breath all day long. I brush and brush but my mouth still smells really bad.?

I am looking for something to help with bad breath all day long. How to get rid of bad breath all day long. I brush and brush but my mouth still smells really bad.?
--Make sure you floss regularly. I do it after EVERY meal and snack.

--Review your diet overall to see what offending foods may top the list of causing bad breath.

--If you have the guts, ask a relative or friend if your breath smells bad to them and how bad? Sometimes, what WE smell is not what others smell, and may be worse--or better--than what we actually think.

--Nicole also has a point--a good teeth cleaning will help. Also ask the dental hygeinist to show you the proper way to floss--which will help scrape bacteria off the teeth and from under the gums. Most people just floss trying to remove food from between the teeth, which is only a part of the flossing process.

--Brush your tongue regularly, not just your teeth.

--There are tongue scrapers that you can buy in drugstores.

--Are all your cavities filled? No broken teeth?

--There are antibacterial or specialty mouthwashes, like Biotene, which also makes a gum. Check out eBay or Amazon.

--If all else fails, a trip to the dentist is in order. Or call the office and ask if they can refer you to a dentist who specializes in bad breath difficulties.

Good luck. How to get rid of bad breath all day long. I brush and brush but my mouth still smells really bad.?
Bad breath that often returns even after brushing your teeth comes from several causes.

Primarily, your breath smells like what you eat, not so much recently, but what you have in your stomach. If you eat very pungent foods, this may add to the problem.

In addition, the scent of your breath actually comes from your tongue more than your teeth/gums because odorous bacteria accumulate on your tongue causing the bad breath. I suggest scrubbing your tongue as well when you brush your teeth.

Lastly, try to breathe through your mouth more often, rather than only through your nose. When you breathe through your mouth, you allow for some ventilation in your digestive system which may relieve the bad smell as well.

That should remedy bad breath for the most part, and of course chewing some minty gum/ eating some mints (I personally suggest Icebreakers or Altoids) couldn't hurt. But really, bad breaths not too huge an issue. Just work those things into a routine and you should be okay, but don't let it bother you too much.

I hope this was helpful =]
    What causes bad breath?

Bad Breath affects everyone at some time or another. It can be a social problem, unpleasant for others and embarrassing for the person that has it.In 9 out of 10 cases the problem originates in the mouth and not the stomach, as many people believe. Even in the cleanest mouth there are both good and bad bacteria. These bacteria live off food debris and dead skin cells. If these bacteria multiply as a result of feeding off food debris and skin cells, they break-down, creating odour-causing compounds called Volatile Sulphur Compounds (VSC) plus other noxious smelling gases. The VSC are the most important of these gases and it is these sulphurous-smelling gases (VSC) that we know of as bad breath or 'halitosis'.

Bad breath can also indicate tooth decay or gum disease, such as gingivitis or periodontitis so it is recommended that you discuss any issues with your dentist as soon as you can.
Are you using a good brand of toothpaste?

    Are you flossing?

    Are you using a mouthwash?

When you brush, are you brushing your tongue, gums, the roof of your mouth, your teeth, and the insides of your cheeks?

Do you pop mints during the day, or do you chew gum?

    --

If you do all of those things, then you probably have a bigger problem other than just bad breath, and I suggest that you go see your dentist.
Make sure you brush your tongue, inside of your cheeks, and roof of your mouth. Maybe you should change toothpaste brands - I use Colgate, and it works great for me. Brush two or three times a day, and make it a point to brush after meals. Chew sugar free, mint gum.

If you do all that and your breath still smells, you could have a gum disease or somesuch. Make an appointment with your dentist and bring your breath problem up to get his or her professional opinion.
No offense to Clarice, but a dentist is a doctor, a doctor that specializes in the structures of the head, neck and oral cavity. You know, like a gynecologist is a doctor that specializes in lady parts or a dermatologist specializes in skin. But enough ranting...

Your condition could be something very simple or very complex. A persistent, strong odor could be indicative of something more than just a hygienic problem, like NUG (necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis).

If your oral hygiene is top notch, then I would suggest that you ask your dentist about the problem. There are a number of different scenarios depending on your diagnosis, so it's really impossible to answer in this forum.
The tongue, The tongue, The tongue is the answer. Clean the tongue with a great tongue cleaner along with brushing and flossing. Mints, gum and mouthwash just cover up bad breath for a short time.

    http://www.orabrush.com/halitosis.php
It's possible you could have an underlying medical problem not associated with your teeth. Go to a doctor.
Maybe you need to get your teeth cleaned. I notice that when my husband and I get ours cleaned our breath stays very fresh for a long time.
Floss regularly. And, brush your tongue.

How do you make a body brush smell good?

and it smells kind of funky, like all dusty.

i've already tried washing it w/ Mane n' Tail and it smelled great for a while then it dried and smellt a little less worse, but still smells bad..

any ideas how to improve the odor haha? How do you make a body brush smell good?
I guess I'm odd, I love the smell of horses. All aspects, even the smell of the their feet when you are trimming them. If they made a perfume that smelled like horse, I would probably fall in love every 5 min. And one of my favorite smells is saddle leather mixed with sweaty saddle blankets.

That smell on you brush may be something you have to get used to.How do you make a body brush smell good?
Why would you smell your brushes??? Anyways, after you use it it will become ';funky smelling'; again. But you can always try washing it and spraying something on it like that horse perfume??(I forget if it is sold anymore) anyways. good luck with ';desmellying'; your brushes.
well you should soak and disinfect your brushes once a month and shake out and let dry completely.....I also like to take a little bit of World Champion Peppy spray and put on my brushes, it smells soooo good, like coconut creme pie...and will give your horse a nice shine...Its one of my favorite products and it reminds me of show season.....mmmmm
There is no reason to make it smell good. You just need to get the dust off. Rub it on a curry comb and the dust will come off.

When is the right time to brush your teeth?

I have been hearing different things - some people say that before you eat, some people say 1 hour after you eat, some people say straight after you eat. etc.

What do you do? and what do you recommend? When is the right time to brush your teeth?
i recommend that you do your brushing after break fest because didn't you just eat something in the morning? once you eat food after a few minutes if you don't brush your teeth then the food particles will turn into plaque -a sticky yellow layer that eats away at your teeth and once it's been there for hours it turns in calculus-a hard white layer that you can't get off by brushing your teeth. then it will turn into a cavity. brush after break fest and before bed so you don't had stinky breath. When is the right time to brush your teeth?
Think firstly, Why brush your teeth before you eat? It's going to get dirty again. Brush after you eat, So you get all the crap off your teeth. Especially brush you teeth before you sleep because bacteria is most active when your asleep and helpless.
Personally I brush in the shower in the morning, then after lunch, after dinner and then before bed.
You dont need to brush them every minute. Just brush them if you eat a really sugary sweet thing and then morning and night.
i think before and after eat, better than only before eat or after eat.
ur brush... ur teeth... do it wheneva u feel like doing it ya... brushing ten times a day is no harm unless u hurt ur gums...
Everyday. I do it in shower, toothbrush there. Two for one.
When you feel that your teeth needs cleaning. Doesn't matter which day or what time.
twice a day at least and make sure you don't have any acidic drinks like orange juice till an hour after wards
Everyday. Everytime when you take a bath, and before you go to bed
in the mornings and before bed
    really

In a pinch you can use masking tape rolled around your hand - sticky side out - to remove lint and hair from clothing.

I have used this method for many years!

You can try the Friendship Supermarket and the the Villa Market on Pattaya 2nd Road. That's where I would check out first.
Have you tryed the carrefour department store up near the cimema ,or topps suermarket or mikes shopping mall
I think you should be able to find one at Central Pattaya or Boots.

  • Can i use this smudger brush for blending the eyeshadow?

In eyemakeup i want to blend the colors in crease, i have eyshadow brush but i cant done with that brush, i dont have the belnding brush, can i use the smudger for blending the colors. Can i use this smudger brush for blending the eyeshadow?
    1. Make sure to base the eye (with powder), if you don't the colors won't blend as well

    2. Make sure you are using a good product, ';dusty'; eye shadows won't blend as well.

    3. I sometimes use an eyeshadow brush (with a light touch) to blend in the crease. I don't think I would use a smudger unless you are dealing with a very small lid. You want a narrow brush with natural fibers and longer bristles. if you don't have a brush that fits that description then use your RING finger with a tapping motion and if you rub, do it gently until you get the desired effect. The natural oils and warmth from your skin paired with the clients will help with blending.

Good luck! Can i use this smudger brush for blending the eyeshadow?
I've found that a contour brush is the best way to blend colors in the crease. It holds the product better than a flat or puff brush, which cause fallout.

As for fingers, bleh, you end up wasting a ton of the product while it seeps into your pores. If you have cheap eyeshadow, I guess it's fine, but as I use Mac and brands like that I'm not trying to waste that.
    speak english!

jk..if you mean the smudger on the end of an eyeliner then no (unless its creamy shadow)..but if you mean a normal eyeshadow brush or a spongy smudger then yes!

but an angled eyeshadow brush is best for blending powder shadows

either way try whatever you have ..if it doesn't work just take it off
yeah sure u can its possible but its not made for blending its made for smudging mainly for the bottom of your eyes.. its just gonna take some time and effort to get it the way you want but it is possible good luck on the blending.

Why do we have to brush teeth in the morning?

Brush teeth at night is to clean up what you have eaten in the day.

But why morning you have to brush again when you didn't eat anything?

The mouth will still stink if one haven't eaten anything. Why do we have to brush teeth in the morning?
    Yahoo search: morning breath

    http://www.breezecare.com/infobb/morning鈥?/a>

    Why does Morning Breath happen?

Your saliva flow slows down or can even stop. This means that there is less buffering of bacteria, less oxygen input, less tongue movement. These are all signals to anaerobic bacteria to begin breeding. During the course of one night's sleep you can manufacture two generations of new bacteria and their waste products, the Volatile Sulphur Compounds.

Mucus in the nasal areas thicken. When this happens the mucus can attach quite tenaciously to the nasal walls making removal difficult. This nasal mucus is high in protein and is an excellent food source for ';Morning Breath'; bacteria.

Your tongue falls to the back of your throat. This action allows easy colonisation of the dorsum (back) of the tongue surface. That is why when you wake in the morning, you not only have a bad or sour taste and breath, but you can also exhibit a coating on your tongue. This coating can be yellow or white depending on its severity and the amount of sulphur contained.

There is also a section on ';How do I prevent Morning Breath?'; where they try to sell you Bad Breath Recovery Products. Why do we have to brush teeth in the morning?
As you have mentioned, the mouth will still smell nif you haven't eaten anything...... so you brush your teeth, which leave a fresh smell.....also, during the night, the saliva in your mouth coats your teeth, and a coat of germs grow on it.....this is stinky......so you brush your teeth, and the detergent in the tooth paste celans your mouth as well......
coz bacteria will stll build up evn if u hvnt eatn nethng

also during the night the mouth becmes more neutral due to no foods chngng the pH balance so in the mornng u should brsh thm to mke thm nore baseic so bacteria slows dwn and just personal hygiene

plus fresh breath and helps teeth and gums stay healthy

    : ) wow thts a lot

    lol : )
Throughout the night when the mouth is closed, we still continue to produce saliva, which when mixed with bacteria, can have an oder. This is where the ';morning breath'; comes from, hence the need to brush!
Q : Why do we have to brush teeth in the morning?

Q : But why morning you have to brush again when you didn't eat anything?

A : We don't have to because there is no Law requires us to do so in Malaysia.
While you sleep your mouth is closed a damp allowing bacteria to grow all over it while you sleep, making your breath smell.
i dont. its a waste of time. my teeth are fine. as long as you brush your teeth well, i think once a day is fine ( O=

BTW there is also a singing Dora doll (from Dora the explorer), also available almost anywhere.

Can Pain ever be like a Cleansing Prarie Brush Fire or a Forest Fire?

Burn off the old and diseased and allow for new growth....Can Pain ever be like a Cleansing Prarie Brush Fire or a Forest Fire?
Sure. Have you ever read Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell? The main character, Scarlett, though a unsavory character, faces many challenges, and pain with those challenges. She toughens up, and copes with the aftermath of the War, and becomes successful, unlike others, who forever lived in the past. Instead of a pampered, spoiled brat, she becomes a formidable woman that is afraid of little or nothing, because she already lost so much. Can Pain ever be like a Cleansing Prarie Brush Fire or a Forest Fire?
Not the pain itself, but the fever it causes (to extend and physical metaphor). The pain is pain, but sometimes, if the pain is due to the invasion of the body by bacteria or virsuses, the body raises it's temp to burn the disease agents out.
Pain is the body's way of saying something is wrong. Any pain weakens both the psyche and stresses the physical body.
Pain at least tells us we're alive. But having lived with it one way or the other for more than 50 years, especially the past 15, I could live much better without it.
Pain makes you cry and tears clean your soul and washes the eyes.

If you brush your teeth the night before, how come you still get morning breath?

Is there a way to stop this from happening? If you brush your teeth the night before, how come you still get morning breath?
Your saliva builds up overnight. Scrape your tongue with a teaspoon (or buy one of those fancy tongue scrapers) every morning until the spoon rinses out clear. That is the best way to avoid morning breath. If you brush your teeth the night before, how come you still get morning breath?
    WELCOME TO THE HUMAN RACE!

100% OF ALL HAVE LESS THAN FRESH MORNING BREATH.

    WHY IS THAT?

BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS BACTERIA WHICH MULTIPLY AT NIGHT. THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP THEM 100% FROM GROWING BECAUSE TH BACTERIA ARE ALSO DEEP IN THE THROAT AND NOSE AS WELL.

ALL THOSE TV COMMERCIALS PROMISE BREATH FRESH - SURE-

AT NIGHT WHEN YOU GO TO BED, BUT NONE PROMISE YOU WAKE UP WITH IT .

    WHY?

BECAUSE THEY KNOW THIS WILL NEVER WORK!

Why does crest white strips say not to brush your teeth rightt before using them?

the directions say not to brush your teeth right before using them.

any one know whyy? does it matter if you do or not?Why does crest white strips say not to brush your teeth rightt before using them?
Your teeth have a mucopolysaccharide layer on the teeth called pellicle. This acts as a protectant layer. After you brush, it is removed and the bleach is more harsh on your teeth

What is the normal age for babies to brush their teeth.?

My daughter is nearly 11 months old and when she was in the bath earlier she took her toothbrush, dipped it into a little bowl of water and started brushing her teeth then rinsing the brush back in the bowl and repeating brushing. This seems very advanced to me, not sure what other people thought? What is the normal age for babies to brush their teeth.?
Once a baby has teeth, you need to brush them. As babies get closer to their first birthday, they show an interest in doing things themselves. My son also likes to brush his own teeth since about that age. I think it's really great to show interest in a healthy habit, so I do let him do it. You will still need to help out with brushing because young children are certainly not thorough with it :)What is the normal age for babies to brush their teeth.?
I gave both my girls a little toothbrush as soon as they cut their first tooth. My first daughter cut her first tooth at 4 months. At first they just chew on it and play around. But if they watch you brush they'll get the idea. Just make sure that the toothbrush has soft bristles.
I started cleaning my kid's teeth as soon as they grew in. Kids will do it on their own because they are imitating your actions. A word to the wise, be on your best behavior in front of your children. They are very observant.
Babies start imitating very young. When my son was 11 months when the phone rang he would go to the hook and pretend to comb his hair. this is when they learn what things do. but you do have a very smart baby.
I started both of my boys, as soon as they got their first tooth. Make sure you use the children's toothpaste, that does not have fluoride in it.
Its not the age after 10 years bcoz your baby teeths will fall and after that grows you can brush teeth.
yes if she has teeth already its time for her to start brushing it doesn't really matter what age she is only if she has teeth.
well they can start brushing their teeth when they feel comfortable doing so but they should start brushing their teeth between one and two years

Does a lionfish kill with a brush of it's stems or is it non-lethal with just a brush?

I thought it would just make your toes or something fall of. Which is true?Does a lionfish kill with a brush of it's stems or is it non-lethal with just a brush?
It is possible but highly unlikely that the venom from the lionfish would be lethal. It is supposedly very painful and can last for weeks. In addition necrosis of the surrounding area (decaying flesh) can occur as well with out treatment. The toxicity can vary with species as well.

I got a couple packets from a friend, and don't have the directions. My teeth aren't grimy, but are the strips more effective after the teeth have been recently brushed?Should I brush my teeth before using Crest Whitestrips?
rinse your mouth instead of brushing your teeth because when you brush your teeth the white strips don't work. This is because the toothpaste blocks anything that tries to whiten your teeth.

15 weeks pregnant and bleeding gums when I brush my teeth is this normal?

I just finished brushing my teeth, and the bleeding is really getting annoying. As soon as I start my gums are bleeding and I mean a lot. I have never had this problem before. I think I am going to have to run out and buy a whole package of toothbrushes to get through this pregnancy. Anyone else having this problem? And is this normal? Thanks15 weeks pregnant and bleeding gums when I brush my teeth is this normal?
You gain 40% more blood volume when you are pregnant, but I never had bleeding gums... I would call your DENTIST tomorrow and ask them if this is normal. Maybe you need to use different tooth paste / tooth brush. I got all of my dental work taken care of right before I got in to my 3rd trimester. Make sure nothing else is wrong please.15 weeks pregnant and bleeding gums when I brush my teeth is this normal?
Hi, I'm a dental hygienist as well as I am pregnant and bleeding gums is very common in pregnancy due to the hormone and blood flow increase. Use a soft brush, floss as often as you can stand it and if you find them swollen or painful try a salt water rinse. You may also develop a condition called a pyogenic granuloma or pregnancy tumor....its not cancerous so no worries. Its usually a redish purple colour and located in between the teeth. Often it goes away once the baby comes, but sometimes it needs to be surgecially removed. Dentists like to wait until after the baby to do this for safety and becuase it may just come back. It is important to clean your teeth as best as possible though...especially with the bleeding. Bleeding means the is an open area for bacteria to enter the blood stream and this bacteria can travel to the baby and has been known to cause premature labour. So just brush well, floss and rinse and you should be just fine. Congrats on baby!
Yes, it's normal. I got this info from babycenter.com

Swollen, tender gums that bleed when you floss or brush are a common complaint during pregnancy. They're caused by higher progesterone levels, which make your gums react more to the bacteria in plaque, and by an increased blood supply to your mouth. This so-called pregnancy gingivitis affects about half of pregnant women.

You may also develop a benign nodule on your gums that bleeds when you brush. This kind of nodule (which is relatively rare) is called a pregnancy tumor or pyogenic granuloma 鈥?scary names for something that's harmless and usually painless. Pregnancy tumors can actually pop up anywhere on your body during pregnancy, but they show up most often in the mouth.

A pregnancy tumor can grow to up to 3/4 of an inch in size and is more likely to appear in an area where you have gingivitis. Typically, it disappears after you have your baby, but if it doesn't, you'll need to have it removed. And if it causes discomfort, interferes with chewing or brushing, or starts to bleed excessively, you can have it removed while you're pregnant.
Very normal... it happened to me..

Yes it is normal. My gums bled with both my pregnancies. I remember goin to the dentist 4 a check up and the dentist warning me about it. I don't think there is anything you can do about it though. Hopefully it doesnt stay this bad through your whole pregnancy that would suck. Sorry I know I'm not much help good luck.
Totally normal. You are pumping blood for 2 people now and have an increased blood volume by about 50%. Bleeding gums is very common in pregnancy. Make sure you are keeping up regular visits with your dentist to make sure that your teeth and gums remain healthy.
it is very normal, no worries

it is because your hormone levels are off balance. since ';pink toothbrush'; started so early for you, you may want to schedule a cleaning for around 6 or 7 months. I had one at 7 months and it felt really good from my gum's being so swollen.
    Congrats on the baby...

    Switch to a soft brush.

    Don't brush hard.

Yes, it is ';normal';. Some women even lose teeth! Bring it up with your doc but essentially, you are carrying more blood now in your system and so your vascular things (gums) are super...vascular. I could have formed that sentence better.
VERY normal ( don't worry at all ) it happened to me and I was freaked about it because no one ever tells you these things :) See the link below for more info and good luck with you new baby!

Its normal. But you might want to consider a check up with your dentist if you haven't had one in a while. having healthy teeth during pregnancy is really important.
Yes. Be gentle. Use soft toothbrushes. Wash them in the dishwasher from time to time.
I have the same thing, your gums become more sensitive when pregnant.
It just means you don't brush your teeth well enough.

    Im kidding.

    Yes its normal.

Check out your brushes, you should have a variety of shapes and textures and you can bump up or down the size easily. Oh, you can make the shape you desire with the brush..make sure the shape is a diff. color than the background, then, use your magic wand tool to select within the shape and fill with a custom made gradient using the gradient tool.

Do I really have to brush my dogs teeth?

I've always heard that it's important to brush your puppies teeth, but I've never met a single person who does it. How important is it? Are the ways to ensure that their teeth are clean without brushing? If brushing is unavoidable, what brand of doggy toothpaste should I use?Do I really have to brush my dogs teeth?
Our dog is very little, and thus a very small mouth. Not having a very good sense of smell myself, I didn't realize our dog had plaque on her tiny back teeth until one day she got something stuck there and I pulled her lip back to see and saw her back teeth were brown with plaque! I freaked, because we never had this problem with any dog before. (We always had big dogs and they chewed on big chewies all the time).

So, on a routine vet visit a couple days later, I asked her to clean her teeth and asked her what she rrecommendedI do. She suggest ';brushing'; her teeth, but not with a toothbrush, since her mouth was so small. She suggested I use a clean rag, and simply rub it all over her teeth at least once a day. Also, give her rawhide chewies to chew on.

Well, I got the chewies that day, and she chews on them all the time now, in addition to eating dry dog food which helps keep that tarter at bay. And, I've not even had to clean her teeth with a rag as she suggested, because the chewies are doing the job all by itself....her teeth are beautiful and clean again! But, please, get good rawhide chewies made in the USA, and not those imported from China and everywhere else in the world.

Good luck, I hope this helped.Do I really have to brush my dogs teeth?
Yeah there aren't many people who actually brush their animal's teeth, which is a shame because it is gold-standard preventative dental care. If you start the pup off at a young age with brushing they're more likely to accept having it done.

There are other ways - if you feed a decent dry diet, preferably with at least some prescription dental biscuits (these are almost as good as actual brushing) and give your dog a daily dental treat (something hard to chew, not some crappy soft pedigree treat) you've a good chance of avoiding dental problems when older. Some breeds are more prone to dental problems that others, namely small/toy breeds, especially Yorkies. If I had a small breed I would most definitely brush it's teeth.

As for dog toothpastes - any one specifically for dogs will do, Logic and Enzymatic are both good and come in poultry flavour of course. These work more chemically than human toothpastes so even just getting them on your dog's teeth daily can be useful. I brush my sister's cat's teeth whenever I can, and she feeds them a little of the toothpaste daily too!

    Chalice
Your vet can tell you if you need to clean your dogs teeth. My husband grew up with four german shepards, and never cleaned their teeth. If dogs are eating dry food, their teeth should be okay. You can also get them specialty bones to chew on to clean their teeth. My parents have cats and they get their teeth cleaned at the vet about once a year.
Dental care is really important for dogs, so yes. A lot of dogs really don't like having their teeth brushed though so there are other things you can do. Just make sure that the vet is regularly checking your dog's teeth and gums for signs of problems. You should try to brush as often as you can but if you can't (my dog won't let me do it too often) do it too often, you can give your dog dental treats that are designed to clean their teeth. I'd recommend Bright Bites since they are 100% soluble (not all products are, and it is very important).

    Yes.

I brush my dogs teeth daily.

    EDIT

Not sure why I am getting a TD, to me, brushing everyday far outweighs my dogs getting periodontal disease, especially considering in own a breed that commonly has periodontal disease problems.

ive never brushed any of my dogs teeth. my 4 year old dog still has white teeth. they eat dry dog food and they have loads of nylabones that they chew on.

i think your supposed to brush them if they eat wet dog food and they dont chew on any bones. but every time my dogs have finished eating, they will chew one of their bones
It's better if you can, it will save you a lot of money in dental cleanings later on.

(just spent $450 on a dental and tooth removal for my dog....)
No. That is stupid. Just another thing for you to waste your money on. With our country's economy going the way it is, I wouldn't buy anything that isn't absolutely necessary.
I give my dog those breath bones that are green. Also I get him bones one in a while that are good for removing plaque on his teeth. (like DentaBone.)
you can get it at petco and walmart for under 10 dollars with a toothbrush and all .. i do it every other week
yes brush you dogs teeth, you will be happy you did in the long run, the vet can tell you what are good brands of paste

Whats the best way to brush a pomeranian?

We have a 7 month old pom. I thought we had him brushed good. We took him to groomer and they told us his undercoat was very matted....how do we brush undercoat???? My husband didn't ask groomer when he picked him up.Whats the best way to brush a pomeranian?
You need an undercoat rake. You have a double coated breed (so do I). They look just like a rake but the teeth will rotate. This will get down below the outer coat (where most brushes go) to the undercoat. You might also want a pin brush and a comb. I get most of my show supplies at petedge.com or cherrybrook.com. A friend of mine that is a groomer told me about both of those and I have not bought anything other than food from a pet supply store since. You also need to learn how to ';line brush';. Contact me at my website and I will give you instructions.

www.summerlandhillsshelties.comWhats the best way to brush a pomeranian?
    Very Carefully!....

just kidding.....you have some good answers posted already.
Since I'd bet you don't have a grooming table w/a NOOSE!,lay the dog across your lap %26amp; USE A STEEL COMB! Part the coat as you go. GO all the way to the skin in sections. A brush will ONLY skim over the coat.

When all the matts are removed,THEN you can start using a PIN BRUSH! Same process, section %26amp; go all the way to the skin. DAILY!! Once you have a rountine **%26amp;** an un-matted dog, this shouldonly take about 15 min. a day.
A Pom does have an undercoat. Here is the best procedure:

1- Take a slicker brush and lift the coat to brush next to the skin. Be careful not to scratch him. Dont forget to stand him up and get the belly.

2- Now get a metal grooming comb and use the same procedure.

Most owners think running a brush through a coat gets all the mats. It just hides them. The easiest way to find mats is feel for them. Dig your fingers in the coat. You will be surprised what you find.

Your groomer should have explained this to you. Most of my customers appreciate the info. Hope she didnt charge you too much for dematting.

By the way, there are de-matting tools out there. They are very sharp and should not be used by novices. Avoid them altogether.
