If you feed your dog raw chicken necks or any type of raw bones, there will be no need to brush your dogs teeth. However, if you would prefer to brush their teeth, you can use a human toothbrush and some lightly salted water and just lift their lips up around their teeth and start brushing. You will find because they like the taste of the salted water, they will open their mouth a bit more so you can do all around the teeth. It is great if you can start brushing their teeth from a very young age so they can get used to it as part of their grooming routine. What is the proper way to brush a dogs teeth?
I brush my dogs teeth like I do mine. I pick up the lips and start brushing on the front of the teeth, then the back starting at the top of the mouth and then the bottom.
