Throw it in the trash and buy and new one. There not that expensive.=)Any tips on cleaning a nasty toilet brush?
If you're really short of cash: then soak it in a big basin or bucket containing 2 cups of household bleach mixed with hot, soapy water. Hose it down with plain water afterwards.

But if I were you, for safety's sake, I'd put it the dirty brush and its accessories in a bag and chuck into the recycle bin, before buying another one.Any tips on cleaning a nasty toilet brush?
Well... I suggest a new one like everyone else but if you must clean it then get an old disposable sponge (you won't want to use it ever again!) and soak it in a solution of warm water, bleach and dish soap. Then scrub the handle and stand really well then end by soaking the brush in the water, bleach, soap solution for at least 20 minutes. You can use the old sponge to get any feces off of it... throw the sponge away when you are done.
Toilet brushes are pretty cheap ... buy a new one.

Just get rid of that old one ... toss it. Buy a new one and make a promise to yourself that you'll give the toilets a good swish every couple days ... if you do that, there will be no need to replace that toilet brush for a few years!
No, time of labor???? Cost of a new brush????

Buy a new one....if you must clean it, use bleach to kill the nasties....
Toss it and buy a new one. You can keep the stand. Brushes are very cheap
